Donatello's version of David from the Bible is smaller and more feminine than that of Michelangelo.

Donatello
Donatello is a famous Renaissance sculptor. The quality and influence of his work is considered second only to Michelangelo. In his teen years, he served as an apprentice under Lorenzo Ghiberti, a famous sculptor and metal smith. It is believed that he helped Ghiberti create the famous gilded bronze doors of the Duomo in Florence.
Donatello’s most recognizable work is the life-size sculpture David. Like Michelangelo’s David, Donatello’s is also based on the David from the Bible who killed the giant Goliath. However, Donatello’s representation of David is much different that that of Michelangelo. Donatello’s is smaller, more feminine looking, and is wearing a hat.
